Diet pills come and diet pills go, but still the fat clings to the collective hips and bellies of 167 million of us in the United States alone. With this kind of vast consumer potential for weight loss products it is not surprising that new diet pills are being introduced to the markets at a rapid rate.
The majority of new diet pills available are considered “natural” or “herbal”. There is much more of these than prescription diet pills because they do not require FDA (U.S. Food and Drug Administration) approval. With this said, although a diet pill claims to be “natural” or “herbal” does not mean that it is without side-effects. In fact, many non-prescription diet pills contain products, such as caffeine and other stimulants, that can increase blood pressure and adversely interact with other medications. And not to forget examples such the Brazilian Diet Pill Emagrece Sim, that “may contain several active ingredients, including controlled substances, found in prescription drugs that could lead to serious side effects or injury” according to the FDA.
The bottom line – if you are considering taking a new diet pill on the market, do your research first. Any reputable new diet pill will have an official site, and will be marketed by more than just one affiliate. We advise strong caution when purchasing new diet pills that are marketed solely on Ebay, or are “As Seen on TV” products. Finally, always look for a published ingredients list for any diet pills you consider taking. New diet pill manufacturers not publishing the quantities of the ingredients in their pills are very suspect and the diet pills they sell are likely low grade.
New diet pills, prescription and over-the-counter, pose more risk to consumers because their effects, both good and bad, are still not fully known.
